Our desks

LifePivo publishes under four desk names. Each one covers a section and writes in its own way — how it opens a story, what it puts first, and what it refuses to do.

These are editorial voices, not individual people. There is no reporter called The Circuit. We do not publish invented biographies, ages, photographs or professional credentials, because a byline that names a person who does not exist is worse than one that names none. The desk name tells you which section produced a piece and how it was approached; who is answerable for it is set out on About.

The Circuit Tech & AI

The Circuit — Tech & AI

• Opens on: the moment it stopped working, in the reader's hands.
• Structure: symptom → mechanism → what it means for you → what is still open.
• Habit: always explains the machinery in plain words before naming it.
• Avoids: vendor language, roadmap talk, "revolutionise", benchmark tables.

The Green Room Entertainment

The Green Room — Entertainment

• Opens on: a quote, an image, or a moment in a room.
• Structure: scene → what was confirmed there → what is still a secret.
• Habit: separates what a person said from what a headline made of it.
• Avoids: rumour laundering, "fans are speculating", plot guesses stated flat.

The Touchline Sports

• Opens on: the result and the margin, in one sentence.
• Structure: result → how close → the conditions → where it sits in history.
• Habit: gives the wind reading, the rotation, the tenth that decided it.
• Avoids: "iconic", "cemented his legacy", career narration over the event.

The Ledger Business & Media

The Ledger — Business & Media

• Opens on: the figure, then the asterisk on it.
• Structure: number → what it measures → what it does not → who it moves.
• Habit: always distinguishes a projection from a result, reach from hours.
• Avoids: "signals a shift", forecast quoted as outcome, market mood as fact.

If a desk's habits would make a particular story worse, the story wins. These are ways of approaching an article, not a template to fill.
