Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
LifePivo publishes international-English news-and-interest explainers. This policy describes how we handle information when you visit our public site.
Who is responsible for this site
LifePivo is an independent publication operated by Jin86 (진86), a registered business in South Korea. Jin86 is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
Data we may receive
Routine server logs may record technical data such as an IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and pages visited. We do not ask readers to provide personal information unless a clearly identified feature requests it, such as the email newsletter described below.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that can support essential site functions, audience measurement, or advertising. Where cookies or similar technologies are used, readers receive the notices and choices required by applicable law.
Advertising
LifePivo does not currently display advertising. We are preparing to display advertising through Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled on this site, the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a reader's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to readers based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Readers may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Readers may opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
Advertising is kept clearly separate from editorial content and does not influence our factual conclusions.
Email newsletter
If you submit your email address to our newsletter, we use it only to send the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell or rent email addresses. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you may ask us to delete your address at any time.
Readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for non-essential cookies and for the newsletter, and on our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning website for basic server logs. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you have the rights described under "Your reader rights" below. Where advertising cookies require consent, that consent is requested before those cookies are set.
Readers in California
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA. California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, and will not be treated differently for exercising those rights.
Children's privacy
LifePivo is a general-audience publication and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and we apply reasonable safeguards against unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Third parties and external links
Our articles may link to official sources and other third-party websites. Those sites operate under their own privacy policies. Third-party services may process data under their own terms when you visit them.
Editorial and commercial transparency
LifePivo currently does not publish affiliate links, sponsored rankings, paid placements, or paid recommendations. Any future advertising or commercial relationship will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and will not influence factual conclusions.
Material factual corrections are labelled. Time-sensitive pages are rechecked against current sources, and silent changes do not alter the meaning of a sourced claim.
Your reader rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or limits on the use of personal data. You may also have the right to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.
Contact
For privacy questions, corrections, or data requests, write to editorial@lifepivo.com with "Privacy" in the subject line, or use our Contact page. We aim to respond within 30 days.
